Two fire trucks in Monterey Park, Calif. managed to crash into each other on Wednesday afternoon, with one ending up in a restaurant and injuring several people.
Monterey Park Police Department's Lt. Carrie Mazelin said that the fire department was responding to the incident, reports KTLA. One truck ended up crashing into the Lu Dumpling House restaurant after the collision.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the fire trucks were reportedly not from the same firehouse, with one actually from the Alhambra Fire Department. The truck that crashed into the restaurant was said to be the Monterey Park Fire Department's.
No one was killed in the accident, but 14 people were injured. They are currently being tended to and their condition is not yet known. At least one person hurt was inside Lu Dumpling House.
Police have closed down the nearby streets and no one has commented on the cause of the accident and whether either truck was responding to a call.
