Late Saturday, Paul McCartney returned to the stage for a performance in Uruguay where he blew the audience away with his personal rendition of “Let it Be."
The 71-year-old ex-beatlle opened the Montevideo show with classic oldies as well as the 1964 hit, “Eight Days a Week,” reports SBS.
Everyone loves to hear the popular hits, so of course 1960s songs like “Blackbird,” “Yesterday,” and “Helter Skelter” found their way onto the set list, making fans jump up and down.
Songs were played from the Beatles’ biggest hit to songs McCartney sang with Wings, to his newest music off of the album titled New. When “Let it Be” began and rang through the audience’s ears, every cell phone was directly up in the air, light on, swaying back and fourth.
A female fan in the packed Centenario football stadium found herself on stage and ready to receive McCartney’s autograph, according to Yahoo Music.
The “Out There” tour will continue in Chile and eventually end up in the United States over the summer.
