A Virginia couple managed to win the lottery not once, not twice, but three times all in the span of less than a month.
Calvin and Zatera Spencer's first win came on March 12, where they won $1 million, reports WVEC-TV. Then 14 days later Calvin picked 10 winning tickets as part of the state Lottery's Pick 4, which netted them an additional $50,000, using the popular combination 6-6-6-6.
Deciding to see if his run of luck was still going strong, Calvin picked up a Virginia Lottery Scratcher ticket for the $100 Million Cash Extravaganza after dropping his wife off at an appointment. This time he won $1 million.
According to The Daily Press, he told his wife, "Baby, we did it again."
He also said that "We're not finished yet."
For the last winnings, they decided to take their winnings as a lump sum, which got them $681,000 upfront instead of stretching out their $1 million sum over a 30-year period.
