Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are in talks to team up again in the upcoming Sony comedy Border Guards.

Adam McKay is currently in talks to direct the film and Jesse Armstrong is signed on to write the script, Variety reported. McKay has worked with both Ferrell and Reilly in the past.

Armstrong is known for his Oscar nominated work on In The Loop.

The movie will tell the story of two friends who are working the U.S. border and find themselves in trouble after getting stranded on the border side of Mexico and needing to re-enter the United States, Deadline detailed.

Ferrell will be producing through Gary Sanchez Productions along with McKay and Kevin Messick. Sony will have two representatives working on and overseeing the project, Michael De Luca and Jonathan Kadin.

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly have worked together on popular films such as Step Brothers and Talladega Nights.
