A woman in England is standing by her man after he came home drunk and tried to strangle her with a silk scarf.
According to the Daily Mail, Samantha Charlton was asleep in her bed when she awoke to her husband on top of her and the scarf wrapped around her neck.
“I'm sorry, I need to get rid of you,” he said as he attempted to strangle her.
Charlton was able to push him off of her and told authorities that she feared she would have been dead if she was unable to do so.
Despite all that though, she said she has forgiven her husband of 10-years and is sticking by him after he completes his two-year prison sentence.
The Metro reported that the 40-year-old wife was even reluctant to see him go to jail.
Michael Charlton, who admitted that in the past he has made threats to kill his wife, would also like to stay together and work out their differences.
