Jurors met on Wednesday to decide the fate of a woman who was convicted of stabbing her boyfriend to death with a stiletto, and heard all about her criminal history, which included two instances of drunk driving and the assault of an old friend.

One day earlier, Ana Trujillo, 45, was found guilty of beating her boyfriend, Alf Stefan Andersson, to death, by stabbing him over 25 times with the heel of one of her stilettos, according to Houston Chronicle.

During the trial on Wednesday, officers recounted that Trujillo had been arrested twice for drunk driving, once in 2008 and another time in 2010. One of the charges was dropped, while she was found guilty of the other, and sentenced to six months in prison.

A past friend, Brian Goodney, told jurors he had been assaulted by Trujillo in 2009. They were in her apartment when Trujillo allegedly struck Goodney in the back of his head with a candle stick.

“I fell on the floor. I was completely knocked out,” he said, according to The Associated Press.

Goodney never pressed any charges.

All of the witnesses described Trujillo as being a pleasant person, but would become increasingly violent and aggressive when she drank. She was supposedly drinking on the night she killed Andersson, although her blood alcohol level was never measured.

Trujillo’s family plans to testify in her favor. She faces anywhere from five years to life in prison.
