The WWE star The Ultimate Warrior passed away last week and the Maricopa County Medical Examiner revealed that he died from "natural causes."

A rep from the medical examiner's office explained to The Hollywood Reporter the official cause of death was "atherosclerotic/arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease." There likely will not be any further investigation into the 54-year-old's passing.

The Ultimate Warrior, real name James Hellwig, collapsed while walking to his car outside of an Arizona hotel while with his wife, as previously reported. When his death was announced, Police spokesman Sgt. Mark Clark explained that it did not appear there was any foul play.

The WWE released a statement noting, "WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever."

Hellwig made an appearance on Monday Night Raw for the first time in years shortly before he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. "We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame," the WWE said.
