X-Men: Days of Future Past director, Bryan Singer is being sued by a man who claims Singer molested him when he was a teenager.
According to TMZ Michael Egan, claims he was 17 when Singer allegedly lured him into a mansion party known for “sexual contact between adult males and the many teenage boys who were present for the parties” in Encino Calif.
The lawsuit includes allegations of Singer providing Egan with alcohol and drugs as well as promises of a role in an X-Men movie.
According to TMZ, the suit also claims “Singer performed oral sex on the boy and then strong-armed the boy to return the favor -- allegedly forcing him to perform the act underwater in the pool.”
Also included in the suit is Marc Collins-Rector, the former chairman of Digital Entertainment Network and according to Variety is accused of initiating the sexual abuse of Egan and arranging for Singer to assault Egan at the house in Encino.
Singer claims the allegations are nothing more than false accusations and his attorney, Marty Singer agrees. Singer’s attorney says the statements are completely false and without merit.
Attorney, Marty Singer also adds the claim has clearly been made in an effort to gain publicity off of the X-Men Director’s latest movie due to hit theaters in a couple of weeks.
Egan’s attorney, Jeff Herman, a sexual abuse attorney based in Boca Raton, Fl. Told Variety, “Hollywood has a problem with the sexual exploitation of children,” Herman said in a statement. “This is the first of many cases I will be filing to give these victims a voice and to expose the issue.”
Egan and Herman are set to appear in a press conference on Thursday in Beverly Hills.
