Frozen has accomplished another record. The family friendly animated film, has reached $1.219 billion to become fifth-highest grossing film globally.
Variety reported that Frozen is boosted by its additional $400 million earned internationally and a shocking total of $194 million in Japan.
Frozen now stands as the second-highest grossing film for Disney. The only film in front of Frozen Is Marvel's The Avengers. Avengers made $1.5 billion globally and coming in third was Marvel's Iron Man 3 which made $1.215 billion globally last year.
This animated feature film which features the chart topping soundtrack is now the fourth all-time worldwide grosser of all time. Frozen is right behind Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 which earned $1.34 billion at the box office.
Daily Mail reported that these incredible box office numbers have helped Frozen to pass popular films such as; Iron Man 2, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon and The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King.
Frozen has set at home purchase records and box office records and the soundtrack has also broken records around the world. The soundtrack features the Oscar winning single, "Let it Go."
