To prepare viewers for the upcoming season five premiere, ABC Family will be airing an all-day Pretty Little Liars marathon from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, June 10 followed by the season five premiere at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The season five premiere, “EscApe from New York,” opens moments after the season four finale (spoilers ahead) with Alison and the Liars dealing with Ezra’s shooting at the hands of mysterious antagonist A.
As the only person who knows A’s identity, Ezra (Ian Harding) is in serious danger. Aria (Lucy Hale) watches over him in the hospital while Alison (Sasha Pieterse), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) attempt to trap A. Meanwhile, Officer Holbrook (Sean Faris) attempts to find the girls, and Mona (Janel Parrish) is displeased by news of Alison’s return.
The premiere is directed by Norman Buckley and written by series executive producer I. Marlene King.
