It turns out that we will have to wait a longer time for Ben Affleck’s follow-up to Argo than previously thought. Warner Bros. has officially pushed Live By Night to 2016.

Live By Night would be an adaptation of the Dennis Lehane (Gone Baby Gone, Mystic River) novel. Affleck officially signed on to direct in May 2013 and it was scheduled for a Christmas Day 2015 release. It will still be Affleck’s first film since Argo, which won the 2012 Best Picture Oscar, even though Affleck was famously not nominated for Best Director.

However, Affleck is set to star as Batman/Bruce Wayne in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel, Superman vs. Batman. He will also be promoting David Fincher’s Gone Girl, in which he stars as Nick Dunne. That film hits theaters in October. These commitments will keep him from focusing on Live By Night, so Warner Bros. set a new release date.

According to Box Office Mojo’s calendar, Live By Night is now set for release on Oct. 7, 2016.

The studio also set release dates for two Warner Bros. Animation projects, which will be released on Feb. 10, 2017 and Feb. 9, 2018. Mud director Jeff Nichols’ Midnight Special with Adam Driver and Kirsten Dunst will open on Nov. 25, 2015.

Also, an untitled comedy from the studio’s New Line label will be released on Nov. 13, 2015. Dean Devlin’s Geostorm with Gerard Butler will be out on March 25, 2016.
