At a recent Coldplay concert in New York City, before the group played their popular single, "Fix You," the dedicated it to Mick Jagger. Jagger recently lost his girlfriend of over a decade, L'Wren Scott, who took her own life in March. A memorial service was held last week in New York.
AP added that Chris Martin addressed the crowd during Monday's show before he sang saying that, "It's for Mick Jagger."
The rock 'n' roll group is currently promoting their latest release, Ghost Stories, out May 19. They are playing small and intimate venues before the album will be released.
Coldplay had a surprise for fans that attended the New York show. They closed their set by performing "True Love" which is a song off of Ghost Stories. Martin asked fans not to film this performance and he said that this is the best track off of the new album and no one has heard it yet.
At the memorial service for Scott last week, Jagger himself performed Bob Dylan's "Just Like a Woman," NME added.
The Rolling Stones recently went back out on tour following the passing of Scott. The group had postponed shows following the death of Scott.
