Dolly Parton will release her new album, Blue Smoke, on May 13.

Parton said she is proud of many things. She told the Digital Journal, "Now that I am an older person, to honestly say that I have lived to see my dreams come true cause I know that a lot of people, don't. A lot of people have the same dreams that I do.”

The album has songs with banjo, fiddle, and gospel-style harmony. Parton sings some cover songs on Blue Smoke, according to the Associated Press. Bob Dylan’s “Don’t Think Twice” and Bon Jovi’s “Lay Your Hands On Me” are two of the album’s highlights.

Parton’s career spans approximately five decades. She has had 25 songs reach the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. She has earned two Oscar nominations for Best Original Song for “Nine to Five.” Parton has also appeared in the films, Nine to Five, Steel Magnolias, and Straight Talk.

Blue Smoke will hit the stores on May 13 via Sony Music Masterworks and Dolly Records.
