Daniel Radcliffe is reportedly in talks for You Shall Know Our Velocity, a project based on a Dave Eggers novel.
The project will be financed by Tim Perrell's Process and Michael Benaroya's Benaroya Pictures, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The International Film Trust is currently getting the package set to present for distributors at the Cannes Film Market.
CAA and UTA are handling U.S. distributio sales.
According to Variety, Peter Sollett is directing and Wells Tower penned the script. Radcliffe would play Will, who goes on a two-week trip with his friend Hand after another friend dies in a car crash and they receive a $32,000 insurance payoff.
Production would start next spring.
Radcliffe became an international star after doing the Harry Potter movies, but has since gone on to take on edgier roles in smaller productions. He recently played Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings, which was produced by Benaroya. Radcliffe’s next big project is Frankenstein with James McAvoy.
Eggers’ A Hologram for the King is also being turned into a film by Tom Hanks and director Tom Tykwer.
Radcliffe can be seen on Broadway in The Cripple of Inishmaan.
