Video of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson giving a sermon has surfaced, proving that even after last year’s GQ interview controversy, he is still ready to voice his views. He still believes that homosexuality is a sin and said he meant what he said in that infamous interview.
TMZ has posted a video of Robertson’s Easter Sunday sermon and said that he believes homosexuality is evil. His comments during the sermon are even stronger than the GQ interview, which got him briefly suspended from Duck Dynasty in December.
“Neither the sexually immoral, nor the idolators, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God,” Robertson said in the sermon.
RadarOnline posted Robertson’s full sermon, which was given at the Whites Ferry Road Church in West Monroe, Louisiana.
“What’s [Jesus] coming back for?” Robertson asked. “To bring salvation to those who are waiting for it. Are you waiting on Jesus? Or are you afraid to see that sky busting, you see him coming? You got two lists.” He then said that he gave out one list, possibly referring to the interview. “You say, were they mad at you about that list? They were mad at me.”
He then said that the congregation is asking why they (as in A&E and the media) were angry with him. “Cuz instead of acknowledging their sin, like you had better do, they railed against me for giving them the truth about their sins. Don’t deceive yourselves,” he said.
Robertson continued, attacking the media as ignorant of the Bible. He said that he wasn’t just sharing his views, but a verse from the Bible.
Duck Dynasty will be back on June 11 for its sixth season.
