Eminem will be performing at London’s Wembley Stadium this Summer.
Eminem’s show was supposed to be performed at Hyde Park. The popular rapper told MTV, “I heard that I wasn’t going to be approved to play in Hyde Park and it made me even more excited to play in London this summer. The easiest way to get me to do something is to tell me I can’t do it.”
Wembley instead is a large venue that can hold 90,000 people. It’ll be the artist’s first show in London since he played the Docklands Arena in 2001. Earlier this year, Eminem headlined four stadium shows across New Zealand and Australia. The “new” Wembley stadium opened in 2007. The original Wembley was demolished in 2003, according to Billboard. It’s been a popular venue for some of the most popular recording artists, including Muse, Madonna, U2, Take That, and the Live Earth concert.
There is no song list posted yet, but it’s likely that songs will be from the albums, The Eminem Show, Recovery, and The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
Although a full tour is not scheduled at this time, tickets will go on sale for Eminem’s show on Friday, May 9.
