Zach Snyder took to Twitter on Tuesday and released the first image of Ben Affleck as Batman for the upcoming untitled Batman-Superman film.

In the tweet, the director revealed how Batman will appear, along with the Batmobile, though the whole vehicle isn't in the shot. Snyder wrote, "I shot this with my @Leica_Camera M Monochrom," getting in some nice promotion for the camera as well.

The image is a simply black and white photo filled with plenty of shadows and smoke, but still gives fans a chance to see how Batman will appear for the upcoming film.

The Superman-Batman film is scheduled for a May 6, 2016 release date and Snyder will helm the film based off David S. Goyer's script.

Affleck of course is Batman, while Henry Cavill returns as Superman, whom he recently played in Man of Steel. Theater actor Ray Fisher was the most recent cast addition, and he will play Victor Stone, aka Cyborg.

Other members of the Batman-Superman cast include Gal Gadot as Superwoman, Jeremy Irons is Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg was cast as Lex Luthor and Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey and Tao Okamoto will be movie-original characters.

Cavill, Affleck and Gadot are also set to remain as the three superheroes for Warner Bros. planned Justice League film.
