A Boynton Beach police officer was caught on camera kicking a 13-year-old boy’s legs out from underneath him while he was handcuffed.
According to WSVN, a school bus driver called the cops on Keven Jean Baptiste after he opened a bus window when he was told not to. The middle-schooler, who is asthmatic, said he cracked the window after he was bothered by perfume that another student had sprayed. That’s when the driver pulled over, kicked the child off the bus and phoned the police.
When officers arrived a fellow student still on the bus captured the incident on video.
The cell phone footage shows an officer walking up behind Jean Baptiste and then kicking him to the ground with a swift leg sweep.
The teenager said that the officer told him not to talk unless he was spoken to and when he kept talking the officer “slammed me, simple as that.”
The New York Daily News reported that the student’s family plans to file a complaint with the Boynton Beach Police Department against the officer who allegedly kicked the teen.
The identity of the officer who is accused of kicking Jean Baptiste has not been released to the public.
The department said a full investigation into the incident will be conducted.
