Frozen has taken over the box office and is now the number one animated movie of all time. It seems that Disney is not ready to let go of their Frozen success, they have started production on a FrozenDisney on ice show.
The animated story which has already made $1.2 billion worldwide and the ice show will be starting performances as early as September, The New York Times reported.
This ice show will be functioning like a full Broadway play. The Frozen production requires a cast of 39 performers and nine tractor-trailers to move from city to city. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday and rehearsals will start in July.
The ice show will be almost entirely based upon the storyline that was seen in the film which includes Elsa and her princess sister, Anna. The show will also feature fan favorite characters Olaf and Sven.
Billboard reported that that back in March Frozen became the top-grossing animated film of all time. This Oscar winning film surpassed the $1.063 billion earned by Toy Story 3.
