British pop star George Michael was rushed to a hospital last week after he collapsed at his home in Highgate, North London.
According to the Independent, two ambulances arrived at the singer’s home last Thursday and spent about four hours there before leaving for the hospital with Michael.
“We were called just before 8am on May 22. We sent two ambulance crews and staff treated one patient, a man, who was then taken to hospital,” a spokesman for the ambulance service told the MailOnline.
It is unclear what caused Michael’s collapse, but this is the latest in a series of health problems for the 50-year-old.
Last May, Michael, whose real name is Georgios Kyriacos Panagiòtou, suffered a head injury after falling out of a moving car. And in 2011, he nearly died after coming down with the pneumonia.
The former Wham! member’s publicist refused to comment further on the Faith singer’s health, only saying that he received treatment and had “routine tests” done at the hospital.
