Fans of Hedwig and the Angry Inch rejoice! According to TheaterMania, Atlantic Records has made plans to release the cast album of the Broadway show with the digital copy coming out July 1st and the hard copy on July 15th.
The show features Tony-nominees Neil Patrick Harris and Lena Hall in the rock musical, which is currently playing at the Belasco Theatre.
Stephen Trask, the album producer and show composer told the press in a release, “Anyone who has spent more than five minutes with me in the last three months knows how excited I am by the new versions of these songs,” reported Entertainment Weekly.
It has been 15 years since the original album was released by Atlantic when the show was being performed Off-Broadway and then two years later the film came out with its own album.
Trask also believes that this is the soundtrack that gets the songs write and if anyone wants to learn the music, this is going to be the version they should study and work on.
