Hugh Jackman was seen walking the red carpet at the world premiere of X-Men: Days of Future Past with a bandage on his face after having a cancerous growth removed.
The star of Days of Future Past had a bandage over his nose after he went through removal surgery of a basal-cell carcinoma only two days prior to the red carpet appearance, AP reported.
Jackman explained that right after he learned the diagnose he underwent the surgery to have the growth removed. In interviews on the red carpet, he encouraged fans to get regular checkups and wear sunscreen, he also assured interviewees and fans that all of the cancer had been removed.
Along with taking cast photos on the carpet, Jackman also took time to take a photo with fans, one of which was brought to tears after meeting the Wolverine star, Yahoo reported.
Much of the cast of Days of Future Past attended the film screening including; Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen and Nicholas Hoult.
Days of Future Past will arrive in theaters on May 23rd.
