15-year-old Turner Bronson fatally shot his 18-year-old brother Clayton on May 22. Police said the two brothers were arguing when Turner shot his brother twice, once in the head and once in the stomach.
The Las Vegas Review Journal Las Vegas Review Journal reports that the boys’ mother, Wendy, told the police that the two had been fighting for the past several months as older brother Clayton urged 15-year-old Turner to “get his life together.”
While inside their southwest valley home, Wendy rose from her bed when she heard a gunshot, and found her oldest son Clayton holding his bleeding stomach. She stood with Clayton, when Turner pointed the gun at Clayton’s head, and pulled the trigger as their horrified mother watched.
Turner appeared in court Friday, appearing exhausted after having spent a week in jail. He will be tried as an adult on one murder charge in the shooting death of his brother, 18-year-old Clayton.
The San Francisco Chronicle San Francisco Chronicle reports that Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson said, “What could have caused a 15-year-old to be so angry at with his brother? It’s just terrible what this obviously troubled individual has done to kill a family.”
Turner’s 18-year-old brother Clayton was remembered for his enthusiasm for life and his dedication to his family, friends, church and community. Memorial services for Clayton are scheduled for Saturday.
