It’s not a real boy band without a little controversy and bad boy action thrown into the mix. One Direction is currently on tour in Latin America as part of their 2014 Where We Are tour and two of the members have just gotten themselves into a little bit of trouble when a video was leaked containing their illegal activity.
Zayn Malik, 21 and Louis Tomilnson, 22 are seen in the video smoking a joint as they travel to an arena in Peru in the back of an SUV. DailyMail broke the story exposing the two band members who now may face problems entering the America, where they are expected to perform this summer.
Malik and Tomilnson go back in forth between making comments during the video as Tomilnson even goes far enough to inform those watching the video that this is not just for fun but has an important purpose. Tomilnson says, “One very, very important factor to Zayn’s warm up, of course is Mary J, herself.”
The video goes on with remarks about the police looking in on the car and a debate over whether they should be discussing the current topic occurs. While Marijuana may not be legal in Peru, people are allowed to consume the drug if it is in quantities less than eight grams.
Any potential backlash from the film is now out of the bands control as Billboard reports that the bands official comment about the leaked video is, "This matter is in the hands of our lawyers."
