Pop singing sensation Lorde took to Twitter this weekend calling out photographer Simon Runting over violating her right of privacy.
i refuse to stay complicit and i refuse to stay passive about men systematically subjecting me to extreme fear. pic.twitter.com/G9FLG1thUP

According to The New Zealand Herald, Lorde is currently seeking legal consul over whether or not to file stalking charges against Runting. The singer/songwriter posted pictures of the paparazzo several times on her Twitter page, and shared a link to his Facebook. In each tweet the 17 year old star expressed fearful concerns for her privacy and well-being.
She wrote, “this man has been stalking me, photographing me and refusing me privacy. i am scared of him. he frequents central akl.”
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that this isn’t the first time Runting has crossed the line with a celebrity. Last year the paparazzo took controversial pictures of Rihanna when she played a concert in Auckland. The Barbados singer later posted the photographs on her Instagram account, claiming “I hate these n***** more than the Nazi.”
Lorde uploaded the same photos as an example, stating "this should not be an accepted standard for young women or anyone in this industry.”
Lorde, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, won two Grammys back in January. Runting has yet to comment.
