Forbes has released its annual “The World’s 100 Most Powerful Woman” list and captures the array of power from woman in politics, entertainment, technology, business and entrepreneurship.
Germany’s Chancellor, Angela Merkel tops the list and is followed by the US chair of Federal Reserve Janet Yellen and billionaire Melina Gates at Nos.2 and 3, respectively. Brazil’s first female president soars in at #4.
Two of America’s most iconic woman of today, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and First Lady Michelle Obama also made the top 10 at Nos. 6 and 8, respectively.
Leading all of the ladies of entertainment is founder of the OWN Network Oprah Winfrey at #14 followed by “Drunk In Love” Songstress Beyoncé Knowles-Carter at #17. Other ladies holding the flag for entertainment on the list includes Sofia Vergara at #32, Ellen DeGeneres at #46, Angelina Jolie at #50, Shakira at #58 and Lady Gaga at #67.
Time Magazine explained that these ladies made the list expanding their brands and adding more career titles to their names.
