I told you how I left my I left my heart in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and I gave you five ideas to understand who Dolly Parton is while visiting her hometown of Sevierville, TN. But what else is there to do around?

1) Tanger Five Oaks outlet

When we released the hound in the parking lot for a two hours shopping spree, I was expecting to have all the time needed to stroll around all the stores. The deals where amazing, I bought a lot of stuff, and I did not have the time for more than half the store. And don't forget that I am a guy.

2) Robert A Tino Gallery

With his Rock N' Roll star look, Robert is not your usual artist. Located in a historic house, the gallery showcases Robert's paintings. He is famous for his Great Smoky Mountains watercolors and gouache or oil paintings.

3) Tennessee Museum of Aviation

Located beside the runway of the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Airport, Tennessee Museum of Aviation consists of a traditional collection of exhibits and a 35,000 sq. ft hangar fully loaded with Warbirds. Some planes are amazingly restored while some other are waiting for a fix up. Kids and airplane buffs can chat with veterans happy to share their memories. Being opened only since 2001, the museum is still pretty young, but the planes collection is already impressive.
