Eminem will be playing a few sold out shows in the United States featuring Rihanna and now it has been announced that the "Monster" rapper will be heading to London for a show at Wembley Stadium.

Billboard reported that the rap superstar will be playing this iconic venue on July 11. The Wembley Stadium can hold 90,000 fans.

Eminem had headlined a few festivals in the area but this will be the first time that he will be playing a show in London since 2001. He played the no longer existent Docklands Arena in early 2001.

Metro added that Eminem was supposed to be playing a show at Hyde Park but due to details the concert fell through. That is how he came to play Wembley Stadium. He is the first rap artist to do so.

In a recent radio interview with BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe, Eminem explained that playing this show became a mission. "The easiest way to get me to do something is to tell me I can’t do it," he said. "Thanks to the Royal Parks for making it all possible…for Wembley."
