Recently, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) voiced disapproval over actress Eva Green’s new Sin City: A Dame to Kill For poster thanks to a particularly sheer robe.
The poster was shot down by the MPAA “for nudity—curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown,” according to The N.Y. Post.
Turns out, the poster’s almost-nudity was too much for the MPAA to handle, and the association is currently working on a compromise with filmmakers, reports Deadline.
The unapproved poster also carries the tagline “I’ve been especially bad.”
Dimension Films had no comment aside from confirming the poster was being refigured.
Other promotional character posters featuring Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mickey Rourke, Josh Brolin and Jessica Alba have been slowly being released without complaint by the MPAA.
The film, Frank Miller’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For was originally scheduled for an October 2013 release but will instead open in theaters Aug. 22.
