The NBA is seeking to get rid of Shelly Sterling as a co-owner of the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to ESPN, the NBA feels that they have the grounds to legally get rid of Sterling. NBA Comissinor Adam Silver gave Sterling's husband Donald a lifetime ban from the NBA after he was caught on an audio recording making racist remarks. However, Sterling is not going down without a fight and intends to keep her ownership in the Clippers. As reported earlier this week, through a family trust Sterling owns 50 percent of the Clippers along with her husband. Mrs. Sterling's lawyer Pierce O'Donnell notes, "She has a voluntary property right, and she won't submit to an involuntary disposition of the team."

On May 9, the NBA designated Dick Parsons, to take over as the CEO for the Clippers since Donald Sterling is not allowed to be involved in any decisions the Clipper organization makes.
