Officials from Malaysia, Australia, and China will meet next week to decide on the next step in the search for the Malaysia airlines plane that went missing. Officials met to make certain that the search doesn’t stop at any stage.
Malaysian Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein offered hope today, despite the fact that the jet has not been found. According to the Associated Press, Hussein told reporters, “I believe we will find MH370 sooner or later."
Hishammuddin goes to Canberra on Monday. The points on the agenda include deployment of assets, technical advice, and meeting with families of the victims. Malaysia deputy foreign minister is calling for families of the victims to be “realistic” as this time, according to Reuters. Malaysian families have had the assistance of support centers.
Meanwhile, a submarine on the Indian Ocean floor has begun to search for the missing aircraft. The plane’s black box was detected in April. The aerial search for surface debris was called to an end this week.
The Malaysian Boeing 777 disappeared on March 8 when the plane was going from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. There were 239 people aboard the plane.
