The Orbit Bluetooth Speaker is a portable device that you pair with your smartphone (or any other bluetooth enabled device) to play music pretty much anywhere.
After a few hours of recharges connected to a computer with a USB cable, that cute little thing - less that 3 inches - will provide you with up to five hours of playback time. Connection is very easy. After the initial (and easy) pairing, you just turn on the Orbit and it will connect to your phone in less than 2 seconds. Your device is not bluetooth enabled? No problem. You can connect with the Aux jack to use it with any device.
The rugged rubberized skin allows you to bring your music pretty much everywhere. Obvious idea is in camping, on your patio with friends or in your backyard around a bone fire. I personally use it in my car. The radio in our old beater that we use as a second car is not Bluetooth enabled and don’t even have an AUX connection. CDs? I don’t have that anymore. I bring the Orbit in the automobile. Once fired up, I can enjoy my MP3s as I am driving. There even is a "phone" button and a microphone so you can turn it into an handless device. One driving-and-talking ticket saved and the 50-60$ speaker has been paid for.
As for the sound quality goes, it’s obviously not a 1000$ audio chain. But for it’s size and portability, the sound quality of the Altec Lansing iMW355-BLK Orbit Bluetooth Speaker is quite impressive.
