Legendary musician and songwriter Paul McCartney announced via online that he is canceling his Japan tour due to the fact he has a virus. This is not the only show McCartney has canceled. He has canceled several other appearances as well due to his recent illness.

Despite McCartney not performing in Japan, the tickets for the show are being refunded. Even the most expensive tickets that cost 100,000 yen ($1,000) each, according to the New York Daily News.

The 71-year old Beatle is scheduled to have 19 United States performances, as well as another on May 28, which is at the Jamsil Sports Complex Main Stadium. His doctors say he needs rest and should take care of himself in order to get better as soon as possible.

“Paul McCartney has canceled the remainder of his tour of Japan and South Korea after being hospitalized in Tokyo with a viral infection, according to multiple reports,” reported by Fox News.

The Beatle regrets not being able to perform for his Japanese fans and hopes to be in better condition the next time around. "I'd like to thank my Japanese fans for their love, messages of support and understanding. I hope to see you all again soon. Love, Paul," said Paul McCartney, reported by ABC News.

He has been known to have fabulous show stopping performances over the past few decades. When he is displaying his talent in the public eye he wants his fans to remember him at his best.
