The Miami Herald reports that Collins took a break form his retirement to perform at his sons school in Miami.

Collins sang with the school's middle school band for their spring concert. He sang his hits "In the Air Tonight" and "Land of Confusion."

Collins has two children with his ex-wife, Orianne Collins Mejjati, who attend the Miami Shores school which houses grades pre-k to 12.

Collins said in an email statement that he had a great time performing with the talented students, but declined to be interviewed.

Earlier this year, Rolling Stone reported that Collins revealed that he has been working with Adele.

"I've just started to work with Adele," Collins said in an interview with Inside South Florida. "I wasn't actually too aware... I live in a cave, but she's achieved an incredible amount. I really love her voice. I love some of this stuff she's done, too."

It is unclear whether their collaboration is for Adele's rumored upcoming album or not, but the singer has hinted through her twitter that a new album may be coming soon.

Collins' 2002 album, Testify, was his last album of original work. He has admitted that he misses performing, and hopes to do some new work very soon.
