X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released in theaters nationwide on Friday but fans are already looking forward to the follow up film, X-Men: Apocalypse.
It has already been announced that Evan Peters who plays Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past, will be returning to the role in X-Men: Apocalypse.
Comic Book Resources reported that writer/producer Simon Kinberg made the announcement in recent press interviews for Days of Future Past.
Before the film even has debut in theaters, controversy has been surrounding this character which is featured both in this X-Men universe and the Marvel cinematic universe.
In an interview with Total Film Kinberg explained that the decision to put Quicksilver into the film was made before producers even knew about the casting in the upcoming Avengers sequel.
“It wasn’t something we anticipated, because we didn’t know they were using him in the Avengers movie. We only found that out … it got publicized, I think, weeks after we’d made the decision, after we’d done it," said Kinberg.
