Police say that shortly before a home exploded in New Hampshire on Monday, an officer was involved in a shooting there.
The status of the officer isn't currently known, but the director of public relations at Exeter Hospital, Debra Vasapolli, said that one person was rushed to the hospital, but not because of a gunshot wound, reports The Associated Press.
State police have been telling the media that the shooting, involving a police officer, occurred before the explosion, according to The Boston Globe.
Firefighters were called to the scene and arrived ahead of the explosion, when only the roof appeared to be on fire. About an hour and a half after the Epping fire department showed up, part of the house exploded.
WCVB, who got footage of the explosion, reports that everyone was initially kept away from the house while it was on fire because police believed that someone in the house had a rifle or other firearm.
