The Standard Hotel has fired the employee that leaked the elevator footage of Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law, Jay Z. The hotel has said in a statement they’ve discovered who it was and terminated them.
In a statement, they said the employee was fired for "breaching the security polices of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video."
CBS News reports at the time the video was leaked on Monday, the hotel had said they were “shocked and disappointed” it had been recorded and released.
The video, released by TMZ, shows Solange hitting, kicking and having to be held back by a bodyguard while her sister Beyonce looks on and doesn’t do anything.
All three have declined requests for comment, but Beyonce did share a series of photos of herself with her sister on Instagram on Wednesday. She also attended Kelly Rowland’s wedding with Solange just a few days after the elevator attack.
Beyonce has also accompanied her husband, Jay Z, to a Brooklyn Nets game since the video was leaked. The coupe will launch their On The Run tour on June 25 in Miami, Fla.
