After launching an investigation to find him, police have found former American Top 40 host Casey Kasem in Washington state.

“We are grateful to local authorities for finding my Dad. We are one step closer to bringing him home,” said his daughter, Kerri Kasem.

A judge ordered an investigation to find the missing 82-year-old, who has advanced Parkinson’s disease, just this week when he disappeared with his wife, Jean Kasem.

This happened after a judge granted Kerri Kasem with a temporary conservatorship over his healthcare. A lawyer for Jean, who has been married to the legendary radio host since 1980, said she had “removed” her husband.

Their family spokesman, Danny Deraney, said in a statement, “The family has grave concerns about his medical care. The Kasem family will do everything in their power to bring their father home,” Fox News reports.

Kasem can no longer speak and has to be fed through a tube. He’s been in various healthcare facilities in recent years. His wife has cut all ties from Kasem’s three adult children, who have been fighting to see him for months.

Kerri believed her stepmom had taken her father to an Indian reservation.
