Jennifer Lawrence first took to the screen in X-Men: First Class back in 2011, this was before she was known around the world for his Oscar winning work and her role as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games universe.
Variety reported that online ticketer Fandango conducted a survey that asked if they were motivated to see the movie because of Lawrence's role as Mystique. Nearly three-quarters of ticket buyers said that they were motivated by Lawrence being in the film.
The study is small and the sample size was only 1,000 movie goers but it still shows that Lawrence is a box office draw in any role.
