The suspected gunman who shot at least one person at a Dayton Veterans Administration Center has been taken into custody.
According to WDTN, the suspect was taken into custody by hospital security and turned over to the Dayton Police Department. He is now in Montgomery County Jail.
Gunfire erupted in the center around 12:15 p.m. local time at which point a SWAT team was called in to assist in evacuating the building and check inside for the suspect.
USA Today noted that some details were released over a police scanner. An officer can be heard on the scanner saying the suspect "came in looking for someone else to do harm to, didn't find him and fired at this guy."
Authorities have released the suspect identity and said that Neal Moore is reportedly a former VA employee.
As for the victim, Paul Burnside, he was shot in the ankle but did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
Police remain on the scene and a full investigation is underway.
