A teenager who moonwalked to Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” during his high school talent show is getting a ton of attention after the video went viral.

In a highlight reel from Pitman High School in Turlock, Calif., many acts are seen showing off their best talents but the final two minutes were reserved for 17-year-old Brett Nichols, who stunned the crowd with his moonwalking skills.
The YouTube video currently has 2.7 million views and it’s only been up for a day.

"I guess people still miss him, it's been five years (since his death). The younger generation appreciates the work, and not only does someone care, but someone cared to put in the time," he told News10.

He also said he’s been practicing for an entire decade, so he definitely put in the work memorizing the choreography off of YouTube.

"YouTube came around and you could find all the videos and songs I remembered hearing," the self-described perfectionist explained.

"Then it was possible to see the choreography, it inspired me. And then I thought, 'why isn't this something I can't do.' Then it was practice, practice, watch, learn and take notes."
