Toronto Mayor Rob Ford will take a leave of absence to deal with substance abuse.
The Associated Press noted that an attorney for the outrageous and outspoken politician will take a break from office to seek help for substance abuse.
The decision comes on the heels of a report by the Toronto Sun that it has obtained an audio recording of the Canadian mayor ranting, cursing and trying to start a fight at a bar in a Toronto suburb.
In the recording, Ford can allegedly be heard taking a shot at his female opponent in the mayoral race, Karen Stintz.
"I'd like to f------ jam her, but she doesn't want ... I can't talk like this ... I'm so sorry," he reportedly said. "I forgot there's a woman in the house."
Ford has been urged to get help ever since a video of him smoking crack surfaced last year. He admitted to smoking the drug while he was under the influence of alcohol.
