Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino has been chosen to put together the score for the upcoming Jurassic World.

He was interested in the job as he previously worked on a dinosaur project back when he was first starting out as a composer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Giacchino was hired to score the video game adaptation of The Lost World, which was one of the first games to ever "feature an original orchestral score," he said.

Giacchino also said on Monday that it "is an incredible opportunity to bring full circle the journey of dinosaurs and film that started in my backyard over 30 years ago."

Colin Trevorrow, who is directing Jurassic World said, "While this new score will honor the indelible work of John Williams, our mission is the same as the film itself - to create something bold and new for people who love dinosaurs."

In addition to composing the score to Up, for which he won an Oscar, he has scored The Incredibles, Ratatouille and several J.J. Abrams projects, including Lost, Fringe, Super 8 and more.

In April, set pictures for the fourth film in the series were released online and featured the director's chair on location and another showed off a white construction truck featuring the iconic JP logo.

The film stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D'Onofrio, BD Wong and more.

Jurassic World hits theaters in June 2015.
