Winter Sleep was awarded the top prize on Saturday at the Cannes Film Festival, while Julianne Moore was tapped for best actress in Maps to the Stars.

The three-hour Turkish film Winter Sleep nabbed the Palme d'Or Cannes, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Quentin Tarantino and Uma Thurman got to announce the winner during the closing ceremony.

Director Nuri Bilge Ceylan thanked Cannes president Gilles Jacob, who is stepping down, and Thierry Fremaux for "supporting such a long film." He also dedicated the top prize "to the young people of Turkey who have lost their lives during the last year."

The runner-up Grand Prize was awarded to The Wonders (Les Merveilles), while the jury prize went to Xavier Dolan's Mommy and Jean-Luc Godard's Goodbye to Language.

Moore won best actress for her performance in Maps to the Stars, while Timothy Spall won best actor for Mr. Tuner. Bennett Miller was awarded the best director prize for Foxcatcher.

The Un Certain Regard prizes were handed out on Friday and the top prize, along with the Palm Dog, went to the Hungarian stray dog horror film Feher Isten (White God).

The runner-up, Ruben Ostlund's Swedish film Turist, won the jury prize.
