A 22-year-old woman fell down an elevator shaft at Fenway Park in Boston Friday night, during the Red Sox game. She has been hospitalized.

The Boston Fire Department tweeted during the night about the incident, reporting, “somehow elevator shaft doors on floor 4 opened.” Then, the woman fell into the shaft, landing on the roof of the elevator. They cut power off to the elevator at the second floor to keep it from moving.

A later tweet stated that firefighters did not wait for a ladder to arrive. Instead, they entered the elevator at the second floor and used a chair to reach the roof.

She was then taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. According to CNN, her name has not been released and her condition is currently unknown.

The fire department added that a state elevator inspector was already at the scene and the Boston Police Department will investigate what happened. The cause is still unknown.

The Red Sox were playing the Detroit Tigers last night and lost, 1-0. The game was delayed 47 minutes by rain during the fourth inning.
