Writer/director Woody Allen is coming off of one of his best films in years with last year's Blue Jasmine, so, naturally, the anticipation of his next is even higher. Now, Sony Pictures Classics gives the first look at what Allen is cooking up next with this first trailer for Magic in the Moonlight.
Starring Colin Firth, Emma Stone, Marcia Gay Harden, Jacki Weaver and Erica Leerhsen, among others, this 1920s "supernatural comedy" centers on an con-stage performing Englishmen (Firth) who is brought to an exotic French backdrop to unmask a charlatan mystic (Stone), only to fall for her as her peers do.
Set for a limited July 25 release, the film should be hitting theaters in just a matter of months. Until this, this first peek, released by Sony Pictures Classics via Yahoo, should suffice for fans of Allen's work hoping for another charmer from the vetern filmmaker.
Also, considering that Allen has re-casted Stone in his latest untitled movie opposite Joaquin Phoenix, it is clear that the director enjoys the company of his new leading lady.
