Two highly-anticipated sequels--22 Jump Street and How to Train Your Dragon 2--went head-to-head at the box office this weekend, and 22 Jump Street became the clear winner.

On Friday, the R-rated 22 Jump Street, starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as two cops going undercover as college students, earned $25 million, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Sony Pictures, co-financer of the film along with MGM, predicts cop comedy will bring in $60 million by the end of the weekend. This will put the film just above past summer comedies Ted and Sex in the City, which earned $54.4 million and $57 million their opening weekends, respectively.

“This one feels really good,” Sony distribution president Rory Bruer told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s our highest-tested R-rated comedy ever at our research screenings. Focus groups loved it—thought it was hilarious and funnier than the first. We’re going to end up being the second-highest R-rated comedy ever.”

DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon 2 earned about $50 million, just above its predecessor How to Train Your Dragon in March 2010, reports Forbes.
