The up-coming Transformers film recently premiered in Hong Kong, China, however, the film recently lost a deal with a Beijing investment company. The company pulled out of a sponsorship deal with the forth Transformers movie over contract dispute.
Paramount and Beijing Pangushi made a deal that allowed Transformers: Age of Extinction to shoot and add popular Beijing landmarks in the movie. Along with the Pangu Plaza Hotel and a company building, the two Beijing Olympics venues were in the filming location. Pangushi is now claiming that Paramount did not live up to their side of the contract and demands its images removed from the film says The Hollywood Reporter. The Beijing Company, taking the money that was lost seriously, filed charges to the court according to Yahoo! Movies. This dispute may hurt the promotion for the film which is the last thing the Transformers franchise would want. Transformers: Dark of the Moon made over $177 million and Paramount is hoping the forth film will have just as much luck. Hopefully, this situation doesn’t affect the film’s future at the box office.
Transformers:Age of Extinction opens in China on June 26 and in the U.S. on June 27.
