Adam Zwig is set to release his EP Stones, Bones, and Skin later this summer and the album consists of five tracks which Zwig uses to blend a mix of genres such as Americana, folk, and rock, to name a few. The music arrangement for the songs consists of drums and bass, with the addition of an orchestra arrangement for the last song, “Waiting On Heaven (To Make A Move).”
Opening the album is “Going Back To Vermont,” which opens with stirring acoustics before Zwig’s vocals take over, giving us a glimpse into the harmonious feel between the music and the lyrics.
In a discussion of this album, his website talks about how the album’s theme is devoted to idea that expectations we have about other people may not be what we think it is.
Zwig has an interesting take on human experiences and his songs reflect the emotions we have about others. With his deep, but soft rhythm, Zwig has a really good sound. The music is put together very well and blends well with the harmony in the vocals.
The album due out August 18 and with its stirring music and lyrics, this will be a good listen for fans.
One of the songs I enjoyed most was “Raising People.” There is a harmonious sound throughout the track and the music is uplifting, especially with the drumbeat to match the vocals on the song.
Overall, Zwig has put together an EP that has stirring musical arrangements, harmony in the vocals, and lyrical content that tells a story about life. It’s a good album for the upcoming summer.
