The Allman Brothers Band has announced their touring dates for the Summer. They have booked six performances for late October at the Beacon Theatre in New York.
The shows are scheduled for October 21, October 22, October 24, and October 25, according to Rolling Stone. The band has played at Beacon 232 times since 1989. The band had a shortened residency at the Beacon in March. Their live shows will conclude on October 28.
"That's the way for this incarnation of the band to go out, one final, short Beacon run," guitarist Derek Trucks told Billboard last week.
Fans of the Allman Brothers noted that Derek Truck and Warren Haynes announced that they’d be leaving the band at the end of 2014. There were also rumors the whole band would call it quits and stop touring. Many shows have been scheduled since then. They will be playing at New York’s Mountain Jam. They’ll close out their festival with a show at Lockn’ Music Fest in Arrington, VA on Sunday, September 7th.
